About Me (and the blog)

Hello! My name is Kelly and I’m a high-school senior that began this blog my freshman year as a project to learn some website management and out of my love for reading! Recently I’ve been on a hiatus (high school is busy, my dudes) but hope to make a return soon!

My blogging story

I made my blog after months of reading and perusing other book blogs. I made the plunge to start blogging in late August of 2014 and continued into around my Junior year. While I am no longer as active in the book-blogging community, largely due to the sheer volume of work, I am hoping to make a slow transition into a lifestyle-book-everything type blog as I hit my senior year.

The name of my blog comes from my love for dance and reading. I’m certainly not the best dancer out there but the joy I experience while dancing is like being able to express everything you feel through movement. Reading is kind of like that. When you’re reading, it’s kind of like you’re “dancing” through the pages. Hence, my blog name, Dancing Through the Pages. It’s cheesy but I love it.

Anyways, that’s about it! I hope you enjoy my blog!

  1. Hmmmm….. I’m more into K-pop than I am K-dramas because I lack the ability to ever commit to a tvshow. But one that I fell in love with and routinely get the urge to rewatch is Reply 1997. It’s a slice of life drama set in the 1997 (no duh) that talks about Korean life and pop culture during that era. The flashback format is a bit confusing in the beginning but it is so so funny. I ship the lead couple so hard and the characters are so likable (even the jerkfaces!). I also liked how the episodes in this drama were shorter than the average one. They started out at about thirty to forty minutes and get longer as the show progresses. This is a must watch for me.
Other dramas that I’ve watched and enjoyed (though I might not have finished) include Dream High (Kim Soohyun is hooooot), Moon Embracing the Sun (Again, Kim Soohyun is hoooooot), and School 2013. I have yet to finish the last two of the three listed but I will eventually. Happy watching! 🙂
